Michael Ritchey (2008 Athletics Award)

A standout wrestler during his career at North Salem, Ritchey went on to become Southern Oregon’s first four-year All-American in any sport. Ritchey took over the head coaching position at Southern in 1995, and since then has led the Raiders to 106 dual victories, seven conference or regional titles and six top-five NAIA finishes, most notably in 2001, when his fifth-ranked Raiders won the National Championship. This feat garnered Ritchey NAIA Coach of the Year honors as well. Ritchey is entering his 25th year with the Raiders as either a competitor or coach.
