Jean Moore Williams (2006 Achievement Award)

After graduation from Salem High School, Jean went on the earn her BA from Willamette University in 1943 and Master of Education in 1967. Her career was spent as Professor of Physical Education at Willamette University for 32 years, along with coaching individual sports. She served as president of the Women’s Conference of Independent Colleges, and was inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1992. The Jean Williams Award is given annually to a student whose actions demonstrate outstanding character and leadership.
