Gary L. June graduated from North High in 1980. He was a member of the National Honor Society and Jazz Choir, worked on the Clarion staff, and was a three-sport letterman. After attending University of Oregon and Stanford, Gary then began a long and successful career in publishing, eventually serving as CEO of three companies, most notably Dorling-Kindersley (better known as DK), where he published ten New York Times best-sellers, including the Star Wars Lego franchise. He currently lives in New York and London.
Gary was nominated by his late father, Jack Lune.
