Bruce Michels (2012 Distinguished Lifetime Award)

After service in the Navy and at the Pentagon, Bruce Michels joined several nuclear and radiation technology companies in manufacturing, marketing, technical and management roles. He founded Remtek Corporation with core businesses of heat- shrinkable and electrical interconnection plastic devices. After retirement, Bruce became a leader with Chartwell School for dyslectic children. His guidance helped create the new school, the first in the nation to be rated LEED Platinum as a sustainable green school.
